The latest addition to the highly successful “Final Destination” horror movie series, “Final Destination Bloodlines” will be hitting cinemas and IMAX this May 16, 2025. Warner Bros. Pictures showed an official teaser last February 3, 2025. Below: Teaser shows off the film’s signature elaborate death sequences.
The teaser trailer focuses on the particularly disgusting death of a tattoo artist who is killed by hanging from his nose ring, followed by being set on fire. His death represents what many expect from the Saw franchise: elaborate, lethal set pieces inspired by Rube Goldberg machines.
It’s about college student Stefanie, played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana, who keeps having nightmares about bad things happening to her family. Certain to change these horrible premonitions, Stefanie heads home to confront these nightmares head-on and gets whatever help she needs to stop tragedy after tragedy.
The film is directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein from a screenplay by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. It stars Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd. In that regard, it is worth mentioning that Tony Todd played the iconic series regular William Bludworth and is now deceased, having died in November 2024 at 69 years of age.
Final Destination Bloodlines promises to trace the roots of how Death designed his complex scheme and provides fans with an explanation of the underlying mythology behind the franchise. The movie promises more of what the series has been known for: suspenseful storytelling and creatively gory death sequences. Watch the official teaser trailer below.
